The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day recruiting operations and delivering consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes for field-based and management roles across Tricoci Salon & Spa, including Med Spa positions. This role partners closely with Field Leadership, Education, and Human Resources to ensure hiring plans align with business needs, training capacity, and workforce readiness.
The Talent Acquisition Manager leads the recruiting team, owns recruiting systems and processes, executes full-cycle recruiting for key roles, and provides actionable insights to leadership through data, reporting, and regular communication. The TA Manager reports directly to the Director of HR and oversees a team.
Role Responsibilities
Recruiting Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and support the Recruiting team to ensure consistent execution, accountability, and performance.
Provide guidance and oversight to ensure recruiting efforts align with business priorities and deliver high-quality hiring outcomes.
Full-Cycle Recruiting & Hiring Execution
Manage and execute full-cycle recruiting for management and field-based roles, including Med Spa positions, from intake through offer and hire.
Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, candidate profiles, and interview expectations.
Support interview coordination and feedback calibration as needed to drive timely and effective hiring decisions.
Workforce Planning & Headcount Management
Maintain primary accountability for achieving technician headcount targets within each training class, aligned with approved budget and headcount plans.
Lead monthly headcount forecasting in partnership with Field Leadership and Education to anticipate hiring needs and ensure training readiness.
Hiring Manager & Field Leadership Partnership
Act as a trusted recruiting partner to hiring managers, providing education and guidance on interviewing, selection, and hiring decisions.
Develop and deliver recruiting-related training for General Managers (and Assistant) including interviewing best practices, compliance requirements, and use of hiring tools.
Provide regular recruiting updates to General Managers during GM meetings/calls including pipeline status, hiring metrics, and upcoming needs.
Employer Brand & Talent Pipeline Development
Serve as a brand ambassador for Tricoci, representing the company’s culture, values, and commitment to exceptional client and team member experiences.
Support employer brand visibility through recruiting events and social media engagement.
Build and maintain recruiting partnerships with local professional schools and participate in hiring events as needed.
Talent Acquisition Operations & Governance
Oversee Talent Acquisition operations, including recruiting systems, compliance, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and end-to-end hiring processes.
Own and maintain recruiting systems and data integrity; continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience.
Ensure job postings, sourcing strategies, interviews, and offers align with established recruiting processes, standards, and compliance requirements.
Reporting, Analytics & Executive Communication
Lead monthly recruiting performance reporting, tracking key metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate flow, and hiring outcomes; analyze trends and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Assist with leading and facilitating monthly executive Talent Acquisition meetings, presenting progress against hiring goals and recommendations.
Create and distribute a weekly Talent Acquisition update to Leadership highlighting priorities, risks, progress, and performance highlights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary liaison to Field Leadership, Education, and Human Resources teams to ensure alignment between hiring strategy, onboarding, training schedules, and broader business priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
5–7 years of progressive recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including at least 3 years directly managing a team.
Experience in a service-based, multi-location environment such as beauty, retail, hospitality, or a similar industry preferred.
Proven ability to use recruiting metrics and data to manage workload, monitor performance, and drive hiring outcomes.
Demonstrated experience working with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms; strong proficiency in Teamtailor or similar ATS environments preferred.
Strong working knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes, including experience supporting high-volume hiring environments.
Data-informed and results-oriented, with the ability to manage recruiting performance, priorities, and deadlines using key metrics.
Quality-driven, with a demonstrated focus on skills alignment, hiring effectiveness, and long-term retention outcomes.
Highly adaptable and energized by a fast-paced, people-centered, and operationally dynamic environment.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions, projects, and competing timelines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to partnering across teams and levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented and execution-focused, while remaining adaptable and receptive to feedback and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgment and accountability.
Ability to maintain scheduling flexibility to accommodate candidate needs, including occasional early mornings or weekends as business demands require.
Willingness and ability to travel locally in Chicagoland area to salon and spa locations or attend hiring events - approximately 20–30% of the time, as needed.
